Deconstructed Sunsets is an ongoing series of paintings. This set of work explores the relationship of color and texture while referencing a fleeting moment such as a sunset. These paintings come after a period of strict self imposed parameters during ‘A Year Color’. Layering oil pastel, acrylic paint, gesso, and glitter to create each new painting, I aim to create a moment as peacefully complex as the sunset.
